Course content
|
1. Introduction to technologies. General and basic descriptions of materials applied in the production of composites. 2. Hand lay-up, contact lamination, hand laying setting, vacuum bagging/autoclave. 3. Automated tape laying, vacuum bagging/autoclave. Automated tape laying setting for thermoplastic prepreg. 4. Helical wet filament winding process, pole winding process, axial winding process, automated fiber placement. 5. Pultrusion, pulforming, PDM pultrusion (Post Die Manipulation Pultrusion), pullwinding (In-Line Winder), RTM (Resin Tranfer Molding), HS RTM (High-Speed RTM), VARTM (Vacuum Assisted RTM). 6. SCRIMP (Seemann Composite Resin Infusion Molding Process), VIP (Vacuum Infusion Process), FASTRAC (Fast Remotely Actuated Resin Channeling) and VARIM (Vacuum Assisted Resin Infusion Molding) - infusion technologies. 7. VFI (Vacuum Foil Infusion), CVI (Controlled Vacuum Infusion). 8. VBM (Vacuum Bag Molding), RRIM (Reinforced Reaction Injection Molding), SRIM (Structural Reinforced Injection Molding), IM - Injection Moulding, BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound), SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound), DMC (Dough Moulding Compound). 9. TMC (Thick Moulding Compound), FPM (Flat Press Molding), LPMC (Low Pressure Molding Compound), GMT (Glass Mat Thermoplastic), In-line compounding and moulding, spraying, continual lamination, rotary casting. 10. Mechanical testing of laminate. Delamination testing. 11. Standardization of composites, controlling of quality of composite parts, recycling problems. 12. Problems during cutting operations of composite materials. 13. The applications of polymer composites, contributions their application. Technological Project processes of concrete construct part. 14. Field excursion (Form, ltd., 5 M, s.r.o, Indupol Slovakia, ltd.).
