Course content
1. Introduction and distribution of available materials for medical and cosmetic purposes. 2. Historical perspectives and milestones for materials in medicine and cosmetics. 3. Metal materials for medical use, metals and their alloys. 4. Non-metallic materials for medical and other uses, ceramics, glass, woven and non-woven textiles. 5. Requirements and rules for cosmetic and detergent ingredients and products. 6. Physical-chemical, dermatological, price, environmental requirements for ingredients in cosmetics and detergents. 7. Materials for the preparation of detergents. 8. Typical impurities and their removal by the correct choice of detergent. 9. Basic properties of skin, skin and their organs in relation to cosmetic products. 10. Natural sources of cosmetic ingredients. 11. Synthetic and semi-synthetic ingredients in cosmetics. 12. Basic formulation of cosmetic and detergent products. 13. Forms of cosmetic products in terms of composition and physical-chemical characteristics of materials. 14. Laboratories of cosmetic technologies and biomaterials.
