Course content
1. Thermodynamics of phase interface, Gibbs adsorption isotherm, adsorption of surfactants on solid substrates. 2. Interactions between surfactants and polymers, methods of monitoring interactions. 3. Surface tension and methods of its determination. 4. Contact angle and its measurement. 5. Stability of dispersion systems. 6. Detergent process, detergents, composition, types. 7. Surfactants and environment. 8. Legislation of surfactants and detergents. 9. Surfactant analysis. 10. Biotensides, saponins. 11. Polymeric surfactants. 12. Importance of surfactants as active substance carriers, encapsulation techniques. 13. Surfactants in cosmetics and personal care products. 14. Other industrial applications of surfactants.
