Course content
1. Classification of non-metallic materials and their typical properties - ceramics, glass and glass-ceramics, polymers, non-metallic composites. 2. Procedures for characterization of properties of non-metallic materials. 3. Processing technologies in terms of materials used powder processing, melting, dry forming, wet forming, plastic forming, drying, sintering. 4. Characterization of utility properties of non-metallic products. 5. Modification of material and utility properties. 6. Specific processing technologies of medical production. 7. Principles of ceramics technology introduction, treatment of powder materials and their evaluation. 8. Forming of ceramic semi-finished products dry forming.
