Course content
|
1. Industrial and special waste water (composition characterization, pollution indicators). 2. Special requirements for special water treatment according to individual sectors and possibilities of their treatment. 3. Mechanical methods of water purification, filtration processes and used equipment, sedimentation processes, hydrocyclones. 4. Separation of light particles by gravity separators of fats and oils. 5. Flotation and its process characteristics, free and pressure flotation, electroflotation, combination of coagulation with flotation. 6. Neutralization (neutralization station arrangement). Magnetic separation. Extraction. Striping (technical design, application examples). Adsorption types of sorbents (biosorbents). 7. Precipitation and its characteristics, precipitation of heavy metals, precipitation of anions, examples of its applications. 8. Chemical oxidation and reduction. Advanced oxidation processes. Electrochemical processes in water treatment. 9. Ion exchangers. Use of ion exchangers decarbonization, demineralization, deionization of water. 10. Decomposition of stabilized emulsions. 11. Membrane processes in water treatment. 12. Biological aerobic purification and its characteristics, technological parameters of activation, types of activation, aeration, technological modifications of activation processes. 13. Biological anaerobic purification, comparison of aerobic and anaerobic processes, factors affecting mechanization, anaerobic reactors. 14. Technologies of sludge processing.
