Course content
1. Cellular organisms and non-cellular systems, basic characteristics. 2. Prokaryotic microorganisms. 3. Eukaryotic microorganisms. 4. Growth and multiplication of microorganisms. 5. Basic processes of microbial metabolism. 6. Biofilm. 7. Factors influencing the growth of microorganisms and the formation of biofilm in footwear and footwear materials. 8. Physiological and pathogenic microflora of the skin I. 9. Physiological and pathogenic skin microflora II. 10. Diseases caused by pathogenic microorganisms of the skin. 11. Antibiotics and mechanisms of antibiotic resistance. 12. Microbiological quality of footwear. Collection and processing of samples for microbiological analysis. 13. Methods of detection of microorganisms in footwear and footwear materials. 14. Possibilities of reducing microorganisms in footwear and footwear materials.
