Course content
|
1. Basics of air protection. 2. Equipment essential to remove solids from gaseous emissions, mechanical cleaners, sedimentation chambers, perforated and louver separators, vortex separators. 3. Fabric and porous filters. Wet separators, types of wet separators, problems of waste water and sludge from wet separators. Electrostatic precipitators. 4. Equipment essential to remove gaseous substances and aerosols, absorption processes, adsorption processes. 5. Equipment essential to remove gaseous substances and aerosols. Thermal decomposition and combustion, condensation and compression processes, biological processes. 6. Flue gas desulphurization methods, sulfur content reduction in fuels, fluidized bed combustion, wet desulphurisation methods, catalysed desulphurisation processes. 7. Wet limestone technology of flue gas desulfurization. 8. Reduction of nitrogen oxides content in combustion products - reduction of NOx emissions by modification of combustion process, dry and wet denitrification methods. 9. Transport emissions, measures to reduce emissions, petrol and diesel engines. 10. Cleaning of waste gases from waste incineration plants.
