Course content
1. Definition of bioanalytical methods. Sampling. Principles of working with biological material. Classification of methods. 2. Homogenization of tissues and extraction of cell contents. Dialysis, lyophilization, filtration and ultrafiltration. 3. Nucleic acid analysis I - nucleic acid isolation, polymerase chain reaction. 4. Nucleic acid analysis II - hybridization, DNA fingerprinting, sequencing. 5. Imaging methods. 6. Conventional culture microbiological methods. 7. Modern methods used in the analysis of microorganisms. 8. Immunochemical methods. 9. Bioanalytical methods using radionuclides. 10. Spectroscopic methods. 11. Chromatographic methods. 12. Electromigration methods. 13. Methods for the study of proteins. Enzymatic analytical methods. 14. Electrochemical methods. Biosensors and biochips.
