Course content
1. Work with proteins and enzymes, obtaining and preparation of proteins. 2. Protein purification, storage, activity determination, protein determination. 3. Basics of enzyme kinetics. 4. Events on biological membranes, transport, compartmentation of biochemical processes. 5. Transmission of nerve excitation, signaling substances, transmission of information across the membrane, biochemistry of vision, biochemistry of muscle contraction. 6. Biochemistry of blood, transport of substances through blood, clotting. 7. Immune system, antibodies, preparation and use of antibodies. 8. Xenobiochemistry. Free radicals, reactive oxygen species, oncogenesis. 9. Photosynthesis, light phase. 10. Photosynthesis, dark phase. 11. Alternative respiration. 12. Secondary metabolites I. 13. Secondary metabolites II. 14. New trends, discoveries and technologies in the field of biochemistry and related fields.
