1. Environmental information systems (EIS) abroad, EU and the Czech Republic. 2. EIS legislation and standardization. 3. Basic information about GIS and user programs. 4. Basic functions of database systems, possibilities of software. 5. Data acquisition for GIS and their use in modeling, import and export of data. 6. Remote sensing and its use in environmental protection. 7. Case studies in agriculture and landscaping. 8. Possibilities of presentation of environmental data. 9. Assessment of ecological risks and environmental impacts using GIS. 10. Case studies of remediation and industry. 11. Map applications in the EU, the Czech Republic and their use by institutions in the environmental protection. 12. Use of EIS in the corporate sphere - waste management.
