1. Introduction. Protection management and its development. 2. Forming of Middle European landscape. Succession, climax. Disturbance. Metapopulation. 3. Natural forest ecosystems - lowland forests and forests of hilly areas. 4. Natural forest ecosystems - submontane and montane forests. 5. Forest protections - reasons for the unsatisactory current state. Forest and forest ecoysystems care. 6. Non forest ecosystems - rock and steppe habitats and their protection. 7. Non forest ecosystems - wetland habitats and their protection. 8. Non forest ecosystems - meadow and grassland habitats and their protection. 9. Non forest ecosystems - stagnant and flowing water habitats and their protection. 10. Species protection in the Czech Republic (endangered species, mapping, protectional programmes, reintroduction). 11. Natura 2000. CITES. Invasive plant and animal species. 12. Zoning protection in the Czech Republic. Large and small protection areas. 13. Landscape protection - reasons for the current state. Significant landscape elements. 14. The types of the landscape management, particularly those enhancing retention functions of the landscape.
