Course content
1. Introduction to structural and surface analysis, overview and classification of methods. 2. Atomic spectroscopy - revision of AAS, AES, XRF ICP-MS; elemental surface analysis. 3. Auger electron spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence analysis, XRF, EDX, WDX. 4. Elemental surface analysis techniques - SIMS secondary ion mass spectrometry. 5. Techniques of surface microscopy, optical nanospectroscopy, infrared nanospectroscopy. 6. X-ray diffractometry. 7. Electron diffraction, neutron diffraction. 8. Overview of techniques of molecular analysis - IR, infrared microspectroscopy. 9. Overview of molecular analysis techniques - Raman spectroscopy - normal, resonance, Raman microspectroscopy. 10. NMR. 11. Comparison of methods. 12. Combined techniques. 13. Basics of thermal analysis. 14. Radioisotopic analysis.
