Course content
|
1. Functions of valves and taps, apparatus tightness testing, work with glass (bending, sealing, grinding), use of various materials as a part of chemical apparatus. 2. Assembly of inert gas equipment (inert gases, manifold, desiccants, vacuum pump); preparation of samples for NMR and MS. 3. Various methods of reduced pressure distillation; types of dryers, preparation of drying columns and possibilities of their use; drying solvents. 4. Reduced pressure sublimation, analysis of raw material and sublimation products. 5. Synthesis of a selected compound in an inert atmosphere; design of synthetic procedure, product analysis and reaction monitoring. 6. Analysis and evaluation of measured data, discussion.
