Course content
Basic topics: - Basic definitions, energy and material flows. - Ecological aspects of the production of basic chemicals and their impact on the environment. - Principles and impacts of mineral processing and heavy industry on the environment. - Principles and environmental impacts of the petrochemical industry. - Biotechnology in the context of the environment. - Liquid decontamination technology. ? Technology of disposal of solid waste and its further use. - Technologies for reducing gaseous pollutants in the environment. - Responsible handling of material resources in the context of the circular economy. - Evaluation of environmentally significant pollutants of inorganic origin. - Evaluation of environmentally significant pollutants of organic origin. - Environmentally friendly technologies, materials and approaches and their socio-economic impacts. - Principles and implementation of the environmental policy of the European Union.

Passing of the subjects is prooved by students´t knowledge and orientation in principles and Environmental consequences in the following fields: Energy flows - Principles of inorganic technologies and their impact on the environment - production of basic chemicals, metallurgical industry - Principles of organic technologies and their impact on the environment part 1 - petrochemical industry, biotechnological industry - Technology of the liquid waste disposal and their legislative frame - Technology of the solid waste disposal and their legislative frame - Gaseous pollutants and their legislative frame - Recycling technologies and their legislative frame - Analytic techniques for determination of the environmentally important parameters - determination of inorganic pollutants, determination of organic pollutants - Green technologies and materials - Special technologies and materials for security applications
