Region, typology of regions, regionalization of the Czech Republic Regional disparities and their occurrence in the EU and the Czech Republic Causes and motives for the establishment and existence of regional policy in the EU Concepts and instruments of regional policy in the EU Historical development of regional policy in the EU Program period of cohesion policy 2007 - 2013 in the EU and in the Czech Republic The role of Cohesion Policy Structural Funds in 2007 - 2013 Europe 2020 strategy Cohesion Policy programming period 2014 - 2020 in the EU Program period of cohesion policy 2014 - 2020 in the Czech Republic Preparation of the programming period 2021-2027

Students have an overview of regional policy in the Czech Republic. Students know the main tools of regional policy and are able to compare the results of their applications in a particular territory. Students have an overview of regional disparities in the Czech Republic, know the methods and indicators for measuring regional disparities and are able to analyze the selected territory in terms of regional differentiation. Students know the main strategic development documents and their structure. Students know the possibilities of financing regional development projects are able to find suitable grant programs for specific types of projects and applicants.
