Course content
1. Characteristics of protection and civil protection, their importance, goals and place in national security. Basic terms and definitions. Characteristics of critical infrastructure and European critical infrastructure 2. Brief history of origin and contemporary civil protection. 3. National and international concepts of critical infrastructure. Critical Infrastructure Warning Information Network. European Critical Infrastructure Protection Program. 4. Assessment of the resilience of critical infrastructure elements. Principle and objectives A comprehensive strategy for the Czech Republic to address critical infrastructure issues. 7. Basic tasks and starting points for solving critical infrastructure issues. Key pages of the critical infrastructure process. Resilience of critical infrastructure. 9. The concept of population protection by 2020 with a view to 2030. 10. Analysis of natural events. 11. Analysis of extraordinary events of anthropogenic events and accidents. 12. Warning, notification and emergency information to the population. Population evacuation. Emergency survival of the population. 13. Protection of population against floods. 14. Protection of the population in the field of nuclear energy, protection against WMD and industrial pollutants.
