Course content
Model and modeling - basic definitions, decision-making process in modeling. Modeling in Population Protection - current state, use. Graph theory - basics, history, use. Applications of selected algorithms from the field of graph theory - use for the field of population protection. Use of network analysis methods in the process of responding to emergency situations. Risk mapping - calculations, heatmap creation. Software support in the field of crisis management - characteristics of selected software tools. Knowledge-Based Decision-Making Methods - knowledge engineering and its appliacations. Advanced decision-making methods and their applications in population protection - artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms. Knowledge systems and their use in decision-making and modeling - characteristics of selected knowledge systems.

Learning activities and teaching methods
