Course content
- Water and its division, properties, quality and purity; - EU and Czech legislation on water and its conservation in the landscape, watersheds and standards, tasks and regulations for floodplains; - Water and its importance for human life; Water contamination - areas; - Water and nature, fauna; Consequences of water shortage; - Risks of water shortage for human life; - Risks of water shortage in nature; - Benefits of retention and accumulation for water management; - Atmospheric precipitation and the regime of their accumulation and runoff from the basin; - Natural and artificial mechanisms of water retention and accumulation in the landscape depending on the type of landscape and the nature of its use; - Use of the retention capacity of soils; - Floods and flooding as a response to extreme synoptic conditions in the context of inappropriate land-use and land-cover; - Natural and technogenic risks of water resources; - Basics of material support of buildings; - Material transportation, material and transport capacity calculations, earthmoving machinery for landscaping.
