Course content
1. The principles of occupational health and safety in the field. 2. The preparation of maps, drawings of the surroundings, the basics of orientation in the field using maps, compasses, GPS, the types of maps, and map scales. 3. Relocation and orientation in the field. 4. Methods of distance estimation, methods of determining cardinal points. 5. The theory of selection and building a suitable place for rest or emergency overnight, the utilization of the equipment carried and natural resources. 6. Building a place for rest or emergency overnight. 7. Making fire (making fire in difficult climatic conditions, in the rain, types of fires and their maintenance). 8. Water extraction (use of natural resources, other means of improvised water extraction). 9. Water treatment. 10. Food preparation (under improvised conditions, meat preparation, etc.). 11. Self-help and basics of first aid. 12. Extraction, transport of the wounded (using standardized and improvised means - from natural sources). 13. Other means of communication (methods of signaling and notification). 14. Selected means of individual protection.
