Course content
- Introduction to the subject and basic terminology. - Legal standards in the field of emergency and crisis situations. - Basic contradictions of contemporary society and current threat to the contemporary world. - Undesirable event, threat and risk. Clarification of terms. - Emergencies, emergencies and characteristics of emergency factors. - Types and breakdowns of emergencies according to their origin. - Crises and crisis phenomena. - Fire and its basic characteristics. - Flood, flood prevention activities and measures. - Industrial and traffic accidents with leakage of hazardous substances. - Integrated rescue system. - Rescue and liquidation work. - Population protection. - Warning and notification system for emergencies and emergency situations.

The student knows basic information about causes and consequences of various types of accidents and crisis situations. It critically assesses the impact of accidents on life, health, property and the environment.
