Course content
Topics taught: 1. History of economic thought and its impact on economic activity; 2. Basic economic concepts; 3. Formation of the market for private and public goods; 4. Basic elements of the market. Analysis of demand and supply; 5. Analysis of the behavior of individual economic entities; 6. Basic economic goals of organizations. Theory of costs, revenues and profits; 7. Economic policy of the state and basic macroeconomic variables; 8. GDP as a basic performance indicator; 9. Business cycle, causes of cyclical fluctuations in the economy; 10. Unemployment; 11. Money market and monetary policy; 12. Inflation, its measurement, causes and consequences; 13. State budget, fiscal policy; 14. Foreign trade and foreign policy.
