Course content
1. Introduction to the subject of managerial and crisis communication. Basic concepts. 2. Communication process, communication scheme. Human personality and communication. 3. Verbal and nonverbal communication. 4. Technical means in professional communication. Data collection and sorting 5. Logical construction of a speech or document. 6. Presentation and communication with the audience. Listener engagement, gaining and retaining attention. 7. Working meetings, discussion groups. 8. Problem communication. Occupational behavior. 9. Self-motivation to manage conflict and stressful situations, coping with fear. 10. Current trends and new challenges in crisis communication. Media in crisis communication. 11. Multidimensional conception of risk, needs and reaction of people affected by an emergency. 12. Communication with people affected by the emergency. 13. Practical procedures in crisis communication. Stress and psychohygiene. 14. Common mistakes in communication. Intercultural aspects of crisis communication.
