Course content
The course content is: basic terminology, national and international legislation of the population protection, threats and procedures in the aftermath of emergencies, organization, management and implementation of work on rescuing people, work and activities connected with the rescue of people and other. - Introduction, basic concepts. - Past and present of population protection in Czech Republic and legislation. - Population protection in NATO and EU, principles and rules of humanitarian aid. - Population protection conception till 2020 with a view to 2030. - Analyze of the emergencies of natural and anthropogenic character. - Warning, notification and emergency public information. - Evacuation and sheltering of the population. - Emergency survival of the population. - Protecting the population against floods. - Protecting the population around nuclear power facilities, weapons of mass destruction and industrial pollutants. - Principles, rules and means of detection, identification of harmful substances, individual and collective protection, decontamination. - The IRS in the security system and crisis management system of the Czech Republic. IRS law framework. Basic and other IRS components. - Characteristics, organizational structure and main focus of activities of individual basic and selected components of IRS. - The Planning process in IRS. IRS documentation in relation to cooperation procedures of its individual components. Practice and Synergy Practice in IRS.
