Course content
Seminar Topics 1. Introduction to the course, legal regulations, the Integrated Rescue System (IRS) in crisis management, and crisis states. 2. Structure and functions of the IRS, the Central Alarm Plan of the IRS, and the standard operating procedures of IRS components. 3. Organisation and activities of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic within the IRS, rescue and liquidation operations, and the role of the incident commander. 4. Organisation and activities of the Emergency Medical Services within the IRS, EMS activities during emergencies, and organisation of the incident site during joint operations of IRS components. 5. Organisation and activities of the Police of the Czech Republic and other IRS components. 6. Tactical, operational, and strategic management of IRS components during joint emergency response. 7. Activities of central and regional administrative authorities and their bodies, as well as legal entities and selfemployed individuals, in the field of crisis management. 8. Civil protection measures during emergencies. 9. Principles of public behaviour during emergencies; individual protection. 10. Tactical and verification exercises. Practical Training Topics 1. Organisation and operation of the dispatch centres of individual IRS components, including simulated training of their functions during emergency response. 2. Excursion to a medical dispatch centre. 3. Demonstration of material equipment used for EMS response to masscasualty incidents. 4. The regional trauma plan. 5. Simulation and practical training of emergency response carried out by IRS components. 6. Simulation and practical training focused on EMS activities during masscasualty incidents. 7. Practical training in the use of personal protective equipment during emergency response, with emphasis on the role and activities of EMS biohazard teams. 8. Model situation: performing rescue operations for a patient suspected of a highly infectious disease. 9. Model situation: performing rescue operations at a traffic accident with a large number of injured persons.
