Course content
Main topics: - Repetitorium of theories of regional development - summary, implications for current approaches to regional development. - Regional policy - principles, development, theory and practice today. - European Union and the Czech Republic - current trends in regional policy. - The role of spatial planning in the organization of society, multidisciplinary activities, social contract for land use. - Types of spatial planning documentation, their hierarchy, territorial scope, use, legislation. - Urban concepts of urban construction, history, current trends. - Territorial limits, growth limits, protection of values (SEA, EIA). - Content of the zoning plan, public infrastructure. - Modeling the future of settlements and landscape, detection of critical points, competition of settlements, division of labor between settlements. - Methodology of elaboration of a zoning plan, spatial analytical documents, analyzes and surveys, superior documentation. - The process of acquiring a zoning plan, financing, competencies. - Spatial plan as a power tool, violence against property owners, security insurance, public versus public interest - More detailed spatial planning documentation - regulatory plan, spatial study, planning contract, SEA, EIA. - Field research and excursions to local typical localities.
