Course content
1st Potential adverse effects resulting from polluted air, water and soil. 2nd Impact of noise, ionizing radiation and abnormal barometric pressure. 3rd Infectious diseases, epidemics, vaccination and increase resistance to antibiotics treatment. 4th Food safety and its impact on human health. 5th The risks associated with natural disasters. 6th Noncommunicable diseases. 7th Biotic factors in humans. 8th Labor environment and health. 9th The most common occupational diseases. 10th Stress management and preparedness for crisis situations. 11th Risk Factors of lifestyle. 12th The effect of psychosocial factors on human health. 13th Urban planning and housing - hygienic aspects.

Student defines environmental risk, which affects the health of human. He will get overview in infectious diseases that can cause epidemics and pandemics. Explain the importance of a system of compulsory vaccination and explain the causes of the rise of antibiotic resistance treatment. Elucidate the causes of lifestyle diseases and formulates risk factors of unhealthy lifestyle. Formulates the impact of food and biotic factors on human health. It analyzes the negative psychosocial effects and examine the possibility of coping with stress and crisis preparedness situace. Characterize most common occupational diseases and specify basic hygiene aspects of the work environment. Student also able to formulate the hygiene aspects of urban planning and housing.
