Course content
1. Introduction to the study. Basic concepts. Legislation overview. Territorial protection. Nature protection. Biodiversity. ÚSES. Governmental and non-governmental nature protection. Tools in nature protection. 2. General protection of species biodiversity of plants and animals. Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP). 3. Special protection of species biodiversity of plants and animals. Principles in negotiation. 4. Conditions for keeping animals in human care and protecting them. 5. Protection of animals in hunting and fishing. 6. Veterinary and phytosanitary care. Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture 7. Operation of zoos and protection of animals in the Czech Republic and the EU. 8. Council Directive 92/43 / EEC on habitats. The subject of protection. 9. Establishment of European sites and their phases. 10. NATURA 2000. Assessment of the impacts of projects on the NATURA 2000 site. Hotspots (biodiversity). 11. Council Directive 79/409 / EEC of 2 April 1979 on the conservation of wild birds. 12. CITES. Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, Washington (1973). 13. Violation of EU legislation on nature protection and biodiversity. Criminal Law. Prevention. 14. Compensation for damage caused by selected specially protected animals. Invasive plants and possibly prevention.
