Topics Covered: - Introduction to the course, terminology and standards of risk management, general risk management process - Basic metrics and ways of expressing risk, risk classification - Definition of probability and rules for working with probability, conditional probability - Procedures for obtaining and collecting data for risk assessment, techniques for eliciting expert opinions - Basic methods of risk identification, checklists, preliminary hazard analysis - Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) - Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) - Basic methods for identifying and analysing causes of hazardous events, Ishikawa analysis - Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) - Basic methods for identifying and analysing the development and consequences of hazard scenarios - Event Tree Analysis (ETA) - Risk evaluation, ALARP principle - Basic approaches to risk treatment - Basic approaches to risk communication and continuous monitoring of the risk management process
