Course content

Overview of topics: - Basic concepts in relation to the population protection and the integrated rescue system (IRS); the emergence and development of population protection; - IRS documentation; - Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and fire protection units included in the area coverage of the region by fire protection units; - Providers of medical emergency services and the Police of the Czech Republic as basic components of the IRS; - Other components of the IRS; - Role of the Army of the Czech Republic within the IRS; - Coordination of IRS components; - Warning and informing the population; - Evacuation; - Sheltering; - Emergency survival; - Preparing the population to prevent and deal with extraordinary events; - Crisis intervention and psychosocial support in the management of emergencies and crisis situations; - The European Union Civil Protection Mechanism and Civil Emergency Preparedness within NATO.
