Course content
- Introduction to economics, economics as a science; - Economic views of ancient and medieval thinkers. Market and market mechanism; - Mercantilists and cameramen. Balance of payments and trade; - Philosophers of natural laws and physiocrats. Inflation and its measurement; - Classical political economy. Exchange and wealth; - French socialism; - Karl Marx. Classification of economic systems; - Marginalist revolution. Theory of marginal utility; - Neoclassical economics. Theory of marginal costs; - Theory of employment. Theory of money. Economic cycle; - Keynesianism. Theory of unemployment. Domestic product; - Chicago school. Theory of money. Public budgets; - Czech economic thinking.
