Course content
- Media psychology - characteristics, subject of research - application of psychological theories in media practice - competences and characteristics of a journalist: (competences, psychological characteristics, barriers to professional performance, cultural determinants - interpersonal relations in the working environment' - journalist behaviour: (prosocial behaviour, cooperative behaviour, competitive behaviour) - journalist's personality: (conflict and its resolution, stress, its management, social communication outside the work environment, internal and external communication barriers) - journalist's personality in relation to bio-psycho-social determinants of personality development - "I" concept: self-perception - self-awareness - self-confidence, image of the journalist - personality structure (psychological personality traits, performance traits) - journalist's abilities (personality-general abilities: intelligence, special/social abilities: empathy, assertiveness, ability to persuade, ability to listen) - creativity of the journalist's personality (types of creativity, factors of creativity, conditions of creativity, obstacles to creativity, managing creative people, creative management) - temperament and character of the journalist's personality - motivation of a journalist - attitudes of the journalist.

Learning activities and teaching methods
