Course content
During the semester, works and personalities of the Czech art scene are presented against the background of key themes of world art.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (Exposition, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (Discussion, conversation, brainstorming), Projection (static, dynamic)
  • Participation in classes - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for examination - 50 hours per semester

Basic knowledge of the subjects of history, philosophy, as a general overview of topics in art history and architectural history.

Student will gain a knowledge of examples of artworks related to themes such as globalization, identity and the body, art and the market, politicization and participation, media and propaganda, object and space, transition to a sustainable society, memory, etc.
Students have knowledge of works od art, deeper knowledge about individual key art and historical topics, and an ability to perform art and historical analysis and critical thinking.
