Course content
Theory and practice of working with typeface. Theory - signs, drawing typeface characters, typeface measurement, typeface family, classification. Projects - manual facetype construction, sought and found typeface, written research on a professional topic.

learning outcomes
The student has knowledge of typeface and typography, perceives typeface as individual characters of the Latin alphabet, is acquainted with the architecture of characters, appropriate placement in a writing line, types of fonts, typeface family and is able to differentiate basic classification groups. The student is acquainted with special terminology.
