Theory and practice of working with typeface. Theory - signs, drawing typeface characters, typeface measurement, typeface family, classification. Projects - manual facetype construction, sought and found typeface, written research on a professional topic.

The student has knowledge of typeface and typography, perceives typeface as individual characters of the Latin alphabet, is acquainted with the architecture of characters, appropriate placement in a writing line, types of fonts, typeface family and is able to differentiate basic classification groups. The student is acquainted with special terminology. |
