Course content
1. Definition of the subject of "design history", its different interpretations. Graphic and industrial design. 2. The first industrial revolution, the crisis of the concept of applied art and the birth of the design profession. 3. The invention of lithography and the birth of the poster. 4. The Arts and Crafts Movement 5. The reform movement of the second half of the 19th century, focused on industrial production. 6. Floral Art Nouveau. 7. Geometric Art Nouveau.
