Course content
The aim of the course is to motivate doctoral students to undergo an internship in such a type of a professional workplace that will allow them to get a deeper insight into their area of interest. During the internship, the student not only performs professional, qualified work, which is entrusted to him by the head of the facility, but also acquires the necessary materials for his dissertation, practical experience and knowledge necessary for his/her professional growth. The conditions and duration of the professional internship are negotiated by the student and a representative of the company providing the internship. The recommended length of a professional internship is 4 weeks. In exceptional cases, on the basis of written request of the student, the head of department can approve an extension of the duration of the internship. During the internship, the student is excused from not attending classes and performing his/her work duties. The student informs in advance his/her teachers and tutors about the dates and duration of his/her internship.
