Course content
Course content: 1. Revolutionary sixties - social atmosphere and changes within the fashion system. 2. Pierre Cardin, André Courr?ges, Yves Saint Laurent. 3. The rise of street fashion - the anti-mode of the hippies. 4. The emergence of a new centre of Italian fashion in Milan - Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace. 5. The first wave of Japocs in Paris - Kenzo Takada, Issey Miyake. 6. American brand concept in fashion - Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Roy Halston Frowick. 7. London punk and Vivienne Westwood. 8. The new dimension of luxury fashion in the 1980s - Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, Azzedine Ala?a. 9. Japanese avant-garde - Rei Kawakubo and Yohji Yamamoto. Deconstructivism - Antwerp six and Martin Margiela. 10. Minimalism of the 90s - Jil Sander. 11. Renaissance of big fashion houses and brands - Miuccia Prada, Tom Ford, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen. 12. Grunge of Marc Jacobs and retro style of Dolce & Gabbana.
