Course content
Course content: 1. The emergence of haute couture. 2. Fashion at the beginning of the 20th century. 3. The Golden Twenties. 2. 4. Madeleine Vionnet, Gabrielle Chanel, Jeanne Lanvin, Elsa Schiaparelli. 5. Thirties fashion and the advent of film. Famous costume designers. 6. Fashion in a time of wartime restrictions. 7. The rise of American fashion and Claire McCardell. 8. The revival of Parisian haute couture. 9. Cristobal Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, the great return of Chanel. 10. The emergence of the Italian fashion phenomenon. 11. Ready-to-wear, a new model for the creation, production and distribution of fashion.
