Course content: 1. Renaissance Age, an overview of the historical situation in Europe 2. Features of early baroque clothing, silhouette of ladies' and men's clothing 3. Surviving European early Baroque clothing and analysis of its composition, construction and technology 4. High Baroque, historical situation, cultural and social situation, economic situation, mercantilism, importance of manufactures, merchant companies 5. Orientalism, chinoiserie, new textile materials and dyes, indienne 6. Fashion of the High Baroque in the period 1640-1660 under Louis XIV. 7. Fashion of the High Baroque in the period 1660-1715 under Louis XIV. 8. Surviving European women's and men's clothing of the High Baroque period, analysis of its composition, construction and technology 9. Rococo, an overview of the historical situation 10.
