Course content
1. - 2. Drawing according to a model, an object placed in space. Summary of knowledge acquired in the first year, in the winter period and in the summer semester. Linear and volumetric representation of an object in perspective. One and two vanishing point perspective. Perception of space, composition, light and shadow. 3. - 4. Drawing according to the model. Working with color. Space, composition, light and shadow. Use of selected aspects in figurative as well as non-figurative depiction. Understanding the canons of the human body, their application in imaging subjects. Interweaving of principles in planning and design with principles of drawing the human body. 5. - 6. Drawing of an object in space, model. An interesting shape solution in a drawing with the help of the implementation of a symbol element in a figurative as well as a non-figurative drawing. Interweaving of principles in design and photography with principles of drawing elements of the subject world. 7. - 8. Drawing of an object in space, model. Transferring the principles of the three-dimensional world to the 2D surface. Object display, understanding the principles of displaying objects, also possible on a model drawing. From enough to simple and vice versa. Transcription of complex shapes - picture, object, model into simpler cubic shapes. 9. - 10. Drawing of an object in space, model. New color solutions. Transferring the principles of the three-dimensional world to the 2D surface. Object display, understanding the principles of displaying objects, also possible in model drawing. From enough to simple and vice versa. Transcription of complex shapes - image, object, model into simpler cubic shapes in alternative color solutions. 11. - 12. Symbols, signs and shape psychology in subject representation in drawing and design. Drawing according to the model, saving the object in space. Working with shape diversity. Simplification of complex shapes into surfaces. 13. Summary of findings from the summer semester. Drawing according to the model, alternative drawing of the composition of bodies in space. Development of acquired knowledge in the topic of perspective, anatomy of composition, color or shape, volume.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Participation in classes - 39 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 11 hours per semester
prerequisite
Knowledge
- can define and draw a simple object in space as well as parts of the human figure, details, portrait. - basic understanding of the principles of so-called spatial imaging individual planes. - basic understanding of the principles of perspective. - can read and describe spatial display planes, soffit and overhead planes, x, y, z axes. - is able to characterize and subsequently describe a person (figure) in a drawing, for the beginning of his part in space.
