Course content
1. Introduction, familiarization with the semester work program, assignment of topics for the creation of graphic cycles in the appropriate range according to the complexity of the implementation. 2. Introduction to the possibilities of work in the graphic workshop, preparation of the printing form in a mechanical way - engravings. 3. - 4. Copperplate - the oldest intaglio printing technique, history, plate preparation, engraving and printing possibilities. 5 - 6. Dry needle, history of the technique, principles of engraving, creation of a gratchet, - nature of the technique and printing possibilities. 7. - 8. Mezzotint - history of technique, materials and tools, character and principles of preparation - graining, smoothing, scraping and printing options. 9 - 10. Crayon Maneuver - history and tooling - matrix preparation and technique implementation. Nature of the technique and printing options. 11. Colour printing, soutisk. Consultation of realized prints. 12. Consultation of worked assignments, printing, proofreading of written defences. 13. Evaluation and defence of work.
