Brief annotation of the subject The course develops the knowledge and skills the student has acquired in previous studies on larger, more complex tasks. It is focuses primarily on contemporary art and the material of glass. The studio is devoted to focused artistic expression on multidisciplinary level. It does not emphasize Czech glass craftsmanship, but instead tries to establish a unique post-conceptual point of view, which is the central point of the creative process. The emphasis is on the conceptual grasp of the given theme. 1. Introductory lesson, studio assignment, course requirements 2. Brainstorming, moodboard, storyboard 3. Consultation on the developed topic 4. Consultation on the topic in progress 5. Consultation on the topic in progress 6. Implementation of working models 7. Consultation on the topic in progress 8. Consultation on a work in progress 9. Realization of models of collection, product line from final material 10. Consultation on the topic in progress 11. Consultation on the topic in progress 12. Consultation on the topic in progress 13. Evaluation of the assignment The student is able to work independently or in a team on more challenging design projects. The student will acquire the necessary skills to create a clear and aesthetically pleasing presentation of their design.

Knowledge |
---|
- include a wider range of materials into your work - work on the given topic independently - combine more complex glass processing technologies, such as fused plastic (modeling, mold production, technological calculations of material volumes, determining the temperature curve for chamber furnaces) - work purposefully with the wider context of creation in design and liberal arts - develop critical thinking - verbally formulate your conceptual solution to the topic - communicate a topic in a foreign language - define the production process of your project |

Skills |
---|
- implement more complicated projects that can also be presented in public space - place your work in the context of contemporary art and design - technologically apply selected (specified) material - prepare a presentation of your achieved results - prepare all materials for visual communication of the treated topic |

The student is able to independently implement a design project using ergonomic and technological knowledge. The student verifies his/her communication skills with professionals from different professions and is able to work in a team with his/her own creative approaches including seeking unconventional forms and practices. - Incorporate a wider range of materials into their work - work independently on an assigned topic - combine more complex glass processing technologies, such as fused sculpture (modelling, mould making, technological calculations of material volumes, determination of temperature curves for chamber furnaces) - work purposefully with the wider context of design and liberal arts - develop critical thinking skills - verbally articulate their conceptual solution to a topic - communicate a topic in a foreign language - define the production process of their project |
