Course content
The course will come true following modules: - Introduction: How to get started, helpful materials and literature - Inspiration: Where stories come from, using personal experiences, ideas from new stories, adaptations: fables and legends - Genre: Identifying the genre: romans, westerns, science fiction, action/adventure, decetive/thriller, epic/historical and others - Setting the scene: How to chose an environment and how to make it work - Plotting: The three act dramatic structure, plot points, climax, resolution, role of subplots - Characters: Common types of characters, character development - Dialogue: Role of dialogue in movie script, Making every word count - Rewriting: Author´s ego and how to be objective, Identifying weaknesses - Formatting: How scripts are formatted - Preparing synopsis, rough draft, final script

Learning outcomes
Students become a part of the audiovisual practices. The main focus is set according the specialization that corresponds to their film study focus at their home university. They are involved in film crews and cooperate in the realization of final semester films. Practical teaching is realized in the form of individual consultations and solutions to the progress of work on film projects. In the end of semester they are supposed to submit a short film.
The student is able to shoot the assigned tasks independently in all areas and activities of audiovision. Cooperation with other students based on their specialization is recommended.
Prerequisites
Mode of completion of the subject - exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Grade (Using a grade system), Analysis of creative works (Music, visual arts, literature)

80% attendance at seminars, necessary consultations. The result of a subject examination is expressed on a six-point scale: A "výborně" (i.e. "excellent"), B "velmi dobře" (i.e. "very good"), C "dobře" (i.e. "good"), D "uspokojivě" (i.e. "satisfactory"), E "dostatečně" (i.e. "sufficient"), F "nedostatečně" (i.e. "fail").
