Course content
The course will come true following modules: - Introduction: How to get started, helpful materials and literature - Inspiration: Where stories come from, using personal experiences, ideas from new stories, adaptations: fables and legends - Genre: Identifying the genre: romans, westerns, science fiction, action/adventure, decetive/thriller, epic/historical and others - Setting the scene: How to chose an environment and how to make it work - Plotting: The three act dramatic structure, plot points, climax, resolution, role of subplots - Characters: Common types of characters, character development - Dialogue: Role of dialogue in movie script, Making every word count - Rewriting: Author´s ego and how to be objective, Identifying weaknesses - Formatting: How scripts are formatted - Preparing synopsis, rough draft, final script
