Course content
1. Mannerism. Applied arts during the Renaissance period. 2. Baroque in Italy, Spain, and France. 3. Confessional influence on art in Germany, the Netherlands, and England. 4. Baroque in Central and Eastern Europe. 5. Rococo. Applied arts during the Baroque and Rococo periods. 6. Art of the Far East Empires. 7. Classicism in sculpture, painting, architecture, and applied arts. 8. English painting in the 18th and 19th centuries. 9. German Romanticism. 10. French Romanticism, Realism, and the Barbizon School. 11. Impressionism. 12. Neo-Impressionism. 13. Post-Impressionism. 14. Czech landscape painting of the 19th century. The Mánes family. Czech Romanticism and Realism. 15. The history of the construction of the National Theatre and its artists. 16. The Generation of the 1890s and the Mánes Association. Sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek. 17. Art of the 18th and 19th centuries in the territory of present-day Slovakia.
