Course content
1. Specifics and structure of professional presentation 2. Identification of goals, purpose of presentation 3. Body language, choice of vocabulary, attention curve 4. Signposting 5. Connecting with the audience, "jump start" technique, communication with the audience, techniques of effective finish 6. Visual aids, powerful content and design of the slides 7. Presentation of slide content, relevance, setting the context 8. Rhetorical questions, contrasts and opposites 9. Advanced techniques - machine gunning, softening, repetition, the rule of three 10. Delivery: pace and intonation 11. Poster and its presentation 12. Managing questions 13. Getting feedback, handouts 14. Students' own presentations
