Course content
The course is an introduction to French grammar, phonetic system and Cultural Studies of the French-speaking areas. - Translation, transformation, supplementary and substitution exercises concerning selected grammar and lexical phenomena. - Exercises stimulating to an independent formation of of word and sentence structures. - Reproduction of the contents of a read or heard text. - Fixation of language skills. Responding to given stimuli and supplementation of suitable words to introductory phrases which are typical of short dialogues in the given thematic sphere.

Knowledge
The student is expected to prove her/his orientation in the conjugation of regular verbs of the I. class and is able to deal with a limited group of irregular verbs. He/she is able to express case relations, to use the definite and indefinite article in nouns, to form plural and to understand spaecial cases. The student is expected to prove her/his orientation in the systemu of cardinal numerals.
