Course content
1. Media psychology - characteristics, subject of study. 2. Application of psychological theories in media practice. 3. Competencies and characteristics of journalists: (competencies, psychological characteristics, barriers to professional performance, cultural determinants - interpersonal relationships in the work environment). 4. Journalist behavior: (prosocial behavior, cooperative behavior, competitive behavior). 5. Journalist personality: (conflict and ways of resolving it, stress and stress management, social communication outside the work environment, internal and external barriers to communication). 6. The personality of journalists in relation to the bio-psycho-social determinants of personality development. 7. The "I" concept: self-perception - self-awareness - self-confidence, the image of journalists. 8. Personality structure (psychological characteristics of personality, performance characteristics). 9. Journalist's abilities (personality - general abilities: intelligence, special/social abilities: empathy, assertiveness, persuasiveness, listening skills). 10. Creativity of a journalist's personality (types of creativity, factors of creativity, conditions for creativity, obstacles to creativity, management of creative people, creative management). 11. Temperament and character of a journalist's personality. 12. Motivation of a journalist. 13. Attitudes of a journalist.
