Course content
|
1. Introduction to the course - structure, aim, literature and requirements for completion of the course. 2. Speech communication, language, rhetoric (language and its basic functions, spoken and written forms of language, ...). 3. Spoken language in the language system, means of sound construction, sound type of Czech. 4. Production and perception of spoken speech (synthesis and analysis), paralinguistic communication, pronunciation styles (high, medium, low) 5. Production of spoken speech: respiration - types of breathing (rib/skeletal, diaphragmatic/abdominal, mixed/co-abdominal), vital capacity of lungs, economy of expiration. 6. Production of spoken language: phonation - phonation system (pitch, strength and colour of voice), voice onset (hard, soft, hollow), vocal registers, voice disorders. 7. Production of spoken language: articulation - articulatory organs and their involvement. 8. Classification of Czech vowels - production of vocals. 9. Classification of Czech vowels - production of consonants. 10. Orthoepy - character, assimilation of voicing, speech tempo. 11. Sound aspect of continuous speech - syllable, beat, colon, utterance, speech - speech analysis. 12. Sound aspect of continuous speech - prosodic (suprasegmental) means: dynamic, melodic, tempo, pauses. 13. Vocal hygiene, voice and speech disorders
