Course content
- communication process model; - characteristics of the recipient of mass communication in the ongoing development of communication technologies; - characteristic features of social and mass communication, relation to interpersonal communication; - intrapersonal, interpersonal and group communication, opinion leaders; - stages in the development of human communication and media development; - media audience, its past, present and future; - communication and culture; - new schemes in the flow of information - social networks; - the function of media communication and the preconditions for the effective operation of its means; - belief in the power of the media; - media effects (agenda-setting, knowledge gaps, spiral of silence, etc.); - media genres and formats, social control and formation of consciousness, dependence on the media; - psychological effects of means of mass communication, psychology of mass behavior; - transnational media flow as a process with positive and negative impacts.
