Course content
1. Summary of the concepts discussed: consensus model, visual culture, human vision and "looking". 2. "Reading the image": procedures for describing and analysing visual representations (art and non-art). 3. Case studies of selected material (illustrative images in the media, advertising, educational materials, scientific images...).
